Theresa
Crawford Tate is a partner in the firm. Her areas of practice include
construction litigation, corporate and business law.
Currently, Ms. Tate serves as an executive committee
member of the real property section of the Los Angeles County Bar,
and is a former co-chair of the construction subsection. Ms. Tate
is a past president for the City of Industry Lions Club, a member
of the Building Industry Association and serves on the board of
directors for several charitable organizations. Further, she is
a frequent author on construction related topics which have been
published by many trade publications such as F. W.
Dodge-McGraw-Hill’s Construction Link, ASA California newsletter, SMACNA The Industry Reporter, Builder and Developer magazine and

Ms. Tate graduated with honors from both the California
State University at Fullerton and Loyola Law School. While attending
law school, Ms. Tate was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu and served
as Vice President of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. She
also held the position of staff editor on the International and
Comparative Law Journal.
Ms. Tate's legal skills and expertise are
benefited
by her employment prior to becoming a lawyer. She was employed for
several years in a construction litigation firm as a legal assistant
and office manager before attending law school. Thanks to this experience,
Ms. Tate is well versed in drafting persuasive legal pleadings and
also has an understanding of the importance of cost-efficient legal
services to the small-and moderate-sized business.
Ms. Tate is admitted to practice before all the
state courts of California and the U.S. District Court for the
Central District. She is a member of the State Bar of California,
Los Angeles County Bar Association, and City of Industry Lions Club.
Ms. Tate resides in Hacienda Heights with her
husband, Alan, a Deputy Attorney General for the State of California,
and their two sons.
